BYD, which entered India in 2021 with the Atto 3 in November 2022, has expanded its portfolio to include models like the BYD Seal sedan, Sealion 7 SUV coupe, and eMAX 7 MPV. We’re thrilled to announce that BYD has now surpassed 10,000 deliveries in India, marking a major milestone.
Currently, BYD stands as the 5th largest EV manufacturer in India by sales volume. In July 2025, sales reached 458 units, a 29% year-over-year increase. Our total sales for H1 2025 were 2,449 units, representing a remarkable 137% year-over-year gain and securing a 3% market share. With 447 units already sold as of August 25th, we anticipate August sales to exceed July’s figures. At this rate, we are on track to achieve annual sales of approximately 5,000 units by year-end, with potential for even higher sales during the festive season.
Globally, BYD has sold over 13 million New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). As of July 31, 2025, BYD cars have collectively helped reduce carbon emissions by an impressive 106.52 billion kilograms, equivalent to the CO2 absorbed by about 1.77 billion trees. Furthermore, BYD has been consistently ranked in the Top 10 Most Valuable Global Automotive Brands by Kantar BrandZ for three consecutive years, with a brand valuation of USD 14.4 billion, reflecting a 43.6% year-over-year improvement. These figures highlight BYD’s growing leadership in the NEV sector.
To further accelerate sales in India, BYD plans to introduce several new products, including the Atto 2, which is expected to be our most affordable EV in the market. Additionally, BYD is exploring the possibility of local manufacturing in the future, depending on the geopolitical landscape.
