- Motorcycles: 501,523 units dispatched — up 4.87 % YoY .
- Scooters: 52,204 units dispatched — soaring 52.9 % YoY .
- Segment mix: Motorcycles accounted for ~90.6% of total volume, scooters ~9.4% .
Domestic vs. Exports:
- Domestic dispatches: 519,139 units — up 5.5 % YoY, and a strong 25.9 % MoM gain from July .
- Exports: 34,588 units — a striking 72 % YoY jump, though slightly down 7.4 % MoM .
Year-to-Date (FY26 Apr–Aug) Snapshot:
- Total dispatches: 2,370,552 units, down 1.95 % YoY from 2,417,790 units last year .
- Motorcycles: 2,176,049 units (–3.7 % YoY).
- Scooters: 194,503 units (+22.9 % YoY) — demonstrating strong growth momentum .
- Exports: 136,359 units — up 45.3 % YoY .
VIDA (Electric Two-Wheeler Segment):
- Dispatches: 12,275 units.
- VAHAN registrations: 13,313 units .
- VIDA recorded a massive 180 % YoY jump compared to 4,759 units in August 2024 and claimed a 13 % e-2W market share, ranking No. 4 behind TVS, Ola, and Ather .
