New Mahindra Bolero Facelift: What the Spy Shots Reveal

The spy images of the new Bolero facelift show that Mahindra is making noticeable changes to its design. While the overall boxy and tough styling will remain, the SUV is expected to get a more modern look with updates such as:

New front grille with a bold design. Revised headlamps with LED elements for better visibility. Updated bumpers for a fresher and muscular stance. New alloy wheel designs for a premium touch. Possible changes to the tail lamps to give it a contemporary feel.

The Bolero facelift is likely to balance its classic rugged appeal with new-age styling cues to attract both existing loyal customers and young SUV buyers.

Interior and Features

While Mahindra has not revealed the interior yet, the facelift is expected to offer better comfort and technology compared to the current model. Some possible updates include:

A modern touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and seatbelt reminders to meet current safety norms. Improved dashboard layout with premium materials. Enhanced cabin comfort with new upholstery and better seating.

The Bolero has always been known for its practicality and reliability, and the facelift will likely improve the overall driving experience with modern conveniences.

Engine and Performance

The current Mahindra Bolero comes with a 1.5-litre mHawk75 diesel engine, producing around 75 hp of power and 210 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and is known for its efficiency and reliability, especially on rough terrains and long drives.

The facelifted version is expected to continue with the same engine setup, but Mahindra might make it BS6 Phase II compliant to meet the latest emission norms. The SUV is also expected to offer better fuel efficiency and smoother performance.

Launch Timeline

According to reports, the new Mahindra Bolero facelift is currently in the testing phase and is likely to launch in early 2026. Since the Bolero is a key product for Mahindra, the company is expected to price it competitively to maintain its strong sales numbers in rural as well as urban markets.

Expected Price

The current Mahindra Bolero is priced between ₹9.90 lakh and ₹10.91 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted version may come with a slight price increase due to new features and design updates. The expected price range could be ₹10 lakh to ₹11.5 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant.

The Bolero facelift will compete with SUVs like the Tata Sumo (if relaunched), Force Gurkha, and entry-level variants of Hyundai Creta and Kia Sonet. However, the Bolero continues to enjoy a strong fan base, especially among buyers who prefer reliability, strength, and low maintenance costs over flashy features.
