Tata Motors Car Sales in August 2025 – Nexon Leads the Chart

Tata Motors has once again shown strong performance in the Indian car market. In August 2025, the company’s sales figures highlight the popularity of its SUVs and electric vehicles. What makes Tata special is that it now offers almost all its popular models in both EV (electric vehicle) and ICE (internal combustion engine) versions. This gives customers the freedom to choose between petrol, diesel, and electric according to their needs.

Let’s look at the detailed sales report of Tata cars in August 2025.

Tata Nexon (EV + ICE) – 14,004 units

The Tata Nexon continues to be the brand’s top-selling car with 14,004 units sold in August 2025. Available in both ICE and EV options, Nexon has become a household name in India. Its sporty design, 5-star safety rating, and wide choice of engines make it a strong performer. The Nexon EV is particularly popular among city buyers, while the petrol and diesel versions are preferred for longer drives and rural markets.

Tata Punch – 10,704 units

The Tata Punch secured the second spot with 10,704 units. The Punch is a micro-SUV that has gained huge popularity for its compact design and SUV-like stance. Its EV version has been well received by young urban buyers, while the petrol engine version continues to attract budget-conscious families. Together, they make the Punch one of the strongest products in Tata’s portfolio.

Tata Tiago (EV + ICE) – 5,250 units

At number three is the Tata Tiago, which sold 5,250 units in August 2025. Tiago is known as an affordable family hatchback, available in both EV and petrol versions. The Tiago EV is India’s most affordable electric car, while the petrol version remains popular in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

Tata Altroz – 3,959 units

The Altroz premium hatchback achieved 3,959 units in sales. Altroz is available with multiple engine options (petrol, diesel, CNG, and even EV). Stylish looks, a 5-star safety rating, and spacious interiors make it one of the best choices in its segment.

Tata Harrier – 3,038 units

The Harrier, Tata’s mid-size SUV, recorded 3,038 units in sales. The Harrier is mainly available with diesel engines, though an EV version has also been announced. Buyers love the Harrier for its bold design, powerful performance, and strong road presence.

The newly launched Tata Curvv sold 1,703 units. This SUV-coupe is one of the most futuristic designs from Tata Motors. It is available in both ICE and EV options, making it attractive to modern buyers who want a unique and stylish vehicle.

Tata Safari – 1,489 units

The legendary Safari recorded 1,489 units in August 2025. Known for its large size and premium features, Safari is offered with diesel and EV versions. While not as high-selling as the Nexon or Punch, it still appeals to families who prefer a big SUV for long journeys.
