The electric two-wheeler market in India continued its robust growth trajectory in August 2025, reflecting the nation’s accelerating shift towards sustainable mobility. With increasing consumer demand, government incentives, and rising fuel prices, electric scooters and motorcycles are becoming a preferred choice for urban commuters.
According to industry data, over 1.04 lakh electric two-wheelers were sold in August 2025, marking a year-on-year growth of around 17%. Market leaders like TVS Motor Company, Ola Electric, and Ather Energy dominated the charts, while new players such as Hero Vida and Kinetic Green also showed significant progress.
Interestingly, TVS Motor Company maintained its top position for the fifth consecutive month, thanks to the strong performance of its iQube series. Ola Electric regained the second spot, while Ather Energy achieved its best-ever monthly sales, pushing closer to Ola. Meanwhile, Bajaj Auto faced supply chain challenges, slipping in rankings due to a shortage of critical components.
