The Indian automobile market is gearing up for an exciting festive season with a flurry of new launches and facelifts. From rugged off-roaders to futuristic EVs, manufacturers are preparing to attract buyers during the festive rush. Here’s a detailed look at the most anticipated models arriving in the coming months:

Mahindra Thar Facelift – Late September 2025

Mahindra is set to update its most popular lifestyle SUV, the Thar, with a facelift expected by the end of September. The refreshed model is likely to feature subtle design changes, new alloy wheels, updated bumpers, and a revised cabin with a larger touchscreen infotainment system. Engine options are expected to remain the same, with the tried-and-tested 2.0L turbo-petrol and 2.2L diesel units, but fine-tuned for better refinement.

Maruti Suzuki Victoris – Before Diwali 2025

Maruti Suzuki is preparing for one of its biggest launches of the year with the Victoris, a new SUV expected to hit showrooms just before Diwali. Positioned above the Grand Vitara, the Victoris will likely offer advanced features such as ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, connected car tech, and both strong-hybrid and petrol powertrains. This SUV will compete directly with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Toyota Hyryder.

Tata Punch Facelift – October 2025

In October, Tata Motors will bring a facelifted version of its micro-SUV, the Punch. While retaining its rugged compact design, the facelift is expected to offer cosmetic tweaks, a new digital instrument cluster, and an upgraded infotainment unit. Under the hood, the 1.2-litre petrol engine will continue, possibly with enhanced fuel efficiency. Tata might also introduce new color schemes to attract festive buyers.

New-Gen Hyundai Venue – November 2025

Hyundai’s bestselling compact SUV, the Venue, is due for a complete generational update in November. The next-gen model will feature a more premium exterior design inspired by Hyundai’s global SUVs, along with a revamped cabin. Expect features such as ventilated seats, a bigger infotainment screen, Level-2 ADAS, and connected technology. Engine choices are expected to include 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo-petrol, and 1.5L diesel with both manual and automatic options.

Tata Sierra EV – November 2025

Tata Motors’ most nostalgic nameplate, the Sierra, will return in an all-electric avatar by November. The Sierra EV will feature a futuristic design with Tata’s Gen-2 EV architecture, offering a range of around 500-600 km on a single charge. A premium interior with sustainable materials, advanced safety systems, and cutting-edge connectivity features will make the Sierra EV a flagship model for Tata.

Skoda Octavia RS – November 2025

Performance enthusiasts can look forward to the return of the Skoda Octavia RS in November. Known for its sporty design and exhilarating performance, the new Octavia RS is expected to come with a turbo-petrol engine delivering over 240 hp, paired with a quick-shifting DSG gearbox. The sedan will retain its sharp styling and driver-focused character while offering modern tech and safety upgrades.

Volkswagen Tayron – Nov–Dec 2025

Volkswagen is set to expand its SUV lineup in India with the launch of the Tayron towards the end of the year. Positioned as a premium mid-size SUV above the Taigun, the Tayron will bring German design, powerful turbo-petrol engines, and high-quality interiors. Expect a feature-rich cabin with large screens, panoramic sunroof, and ADAS features to rival SUVs like the Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass.

MG Majestor – During Diwali 2025

MG Motor will add a new premium MPV to its portfolio with the launch of the Majestor around Diwali. Designed as a luxury people-mover, the Majestor will compete with the Toyota Innova Hycross. It is expected to feature captain seats, a spacious three-row layout, connected car technology, and petrol-hybrid powertrain options. This MPV will cater to families looking for comfort and premium features in a festive season purchase.

With so many exciting launches lined up between September and December 2025, car buyers will have multiple options across segments — from affordable compact SUVs to luxury EVs and performance sedans. The festive season promises to be one of the most competitive periods for automakers in India.
