With 22,481 sales, TVS secured the top spot in September 2025. Its iQube Electric scooter remains popular among urban riders, supported by a growing dealer network, government subsidies, and improved range options.

Bajaj and Ather Compete for Second Place

Ather Energy registered 18,109 units, holding strong in third place. The Ather 450X and the recently launched Rizta scooter have fueled this growth, along with the brand’s expanding fast-charging network.

Ola and Hero MotoCorp in the Top Five

The Future of EV 2-Wheelers in India

The sales figures for September 2025 highlight India’s strong transition to electric mobility. Mainstream adoption is no longer limited to metros, as buyers in smaller towns are increasingly choosing EV scooters for lower running costs, easy maintenance, and eco-friendly performance.

With heavy investments in battery technology, charging infrastructure, and new model launches, the EV two-wheeler market is expected to grow further in the next few quarters.

September 2025 turned out to be a big month for the EV 2W market. TVS retained leadership, while Bajaj and Ather closely followed. Ola and Hero MotoCorp’s Vida Electric scooters made sure the top five brands remained competitive.

The competition among legacy giants and new-age startups is reshaping India’s mobility sector. If this momentum continues, India is on track to become one of the largest EV two-wheeler markets globally.
